Dr. Rosenblum is a Medicare Participating Physician, accepting assignment on all covered medical and surgical procedures. Patients are responsible for their deductibles, co-insurance, and non-covered services.
Refraction (or "vision exam") is usually not covered by most insurers.
A refraction or "vision exam" is done to determine whether a prescription for glasses or contacts is needed. It is also used in order to determine how much of any blurred or lost vision is optical and what portion may be due to medical conditions, such as cataract or retina disease.
Health insurance will usually cover the medical portion of the exam when medical eye problems exist. We do NOT participate in "vision plans".
